What is the IB Dance (HL) exam format?
IB Dance HL has internal and external assessments: the IB external assessment is the part you do on test day or submit to the International Baccalaureate themselves while the IB internal assessment is usually a project or a presentation you have to work on ahead of time. For the external assessments: Composition and analysis- two recorded dance performances and an analytical statement about the processes of the dance; will take you 90 hours (worth 35% of your final grade) Dance investigation - formal written report analyzing the similarities and differences between two different dances; will take you 60 hours (worth 25% of your final grade) For the internal assessments: Performance - one or two dances presented at an open showing; will take you 90 hours (worth 40% of your final score) To make sure you’re prepared enough to finish in time, take a look through the IB Dance Syllabus and our free IB Dance resources that cover the most important material you should know.

IB exams are scored using a combination of internal and external assessments. The IB score range is 1 to 7, with 7 being the highest.
