Dispersion graph
A type of data presentation used to show the spread and distribution of a set of values, such as river velocity records.
Environmental quality survey
A structured assessment used to score an area from 0 (Very poor quality) to 5 (Good quality) based on factors like attractiveness, maintenance, litter, vandalism, and landscaping.
Average velocity (speed)
A measure of the rate of river flow, calculated using the formula Average time takenDistance.
Risk assessment
A requirement in the planning stage of geographical fieldwork used to identify potential hazards and ensure safety.
Sustainability
The concept of creating settlements, like the proposed Tudeley Village, that can meet current needs without compromising future generations.
