**Apollo 11 Mission**
Apollo 11 was the first manned mission to land on the Moon. It was launched on July 16, 1969, and the spacecraft consisted of three parts: the Command Module, the Service Module, and the Lunar Module. The crew consisted of Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins. Armstrong and Aldrin landed on the Moon on July 20, 1969, while Collins orbited above. Armstrong famously declared, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind," as he became the first human to step onto the lunar surface. The mission was a major achievement for the United States and marked a significant milestone in space exploration.
