What is history?
The study of past events, particularly in human affairs.
What is a primary source in historical research?
An original document or artifact created at the time of the event, such as letters, diaries, photographs, or official records.
What is a secondary source in historical research?
A document or recording that relates or discusses information originally presented elsewhere, often created after the event by someone who did not witness it, like textbooks, biographies, or documentaries.
What is archaeology?
The scientific study of human history and prehistory through the excavation of sites and the analysis of artifacts and other physical remains.
