This document outlines the responsibilities of the Foster Caretaker in caring for animals provided by Pasadena Humane Society. The Foster Caretaker acknowledges the terms and conditions of this agreement.
The Foster Caretaker must:
Provide humane care for the Foster Animal(s).
Ensure adequate water, food, shelter, and socialization.
Use secure indoor/outdoor access for dogs; cats must remain indoors.
Pasadena Humane retains ownership of the Foster Animal(s), whether alive or deceased.
Animals must be returned upon request or if care can no longer be provided.
Others may adopt the Foster Animal(s) unless the Foster Caretaker intends to adopt; FTA program animals are reserved for 14 days.
Notify Pasadena Humane of any changes in contact information.
Report any health changes in the Foster Animal(s).
Medical appointments must be scheduled through Pasadena Humane, and outside veterinary services require pre-approval.
Pasadena Humane reserves the right to inspect premises and reclaim animals if they are inadequately cared for or if the contract is violated.
The Foster Caretaker assumes all risks related to fostering and indemnifies Pasadena Humane from any liability, participating voluntarily and understanding the benefits of fostering.
Complete release of Pasadena Humane from claims related to animal foster care, even in cases of negligence.
This agreement is governed by California laws, with disputes resolved in Los Angeles County.
If any provision is invalidated, other provisions remain effective.
This document supersedes previous agreements regarding foster care and constitutes the entire understanding between the parties.
